The Beer Garden at the Strawberry Festival is a great place to relax and chill with a nice cold beer and get to know others on the Island. With thousands of people visiting Vashon Island for the summer’s most popular event you’re sure to meet an array of unique and fun individuals. The Beer garden is open at 7pm on the event’s first night and then opens up again for those afternoon brew aficionados to get started for the day at noon, with an earlier opening on Sunday of 11am. The beery garden closes at 5pm both Saturday and Sunday night as the evening events open up to adults.
You can’t miss the beer garden at the Strawberry Festival as you head into town for the weekend’s celebrations, and with so many local Island brews, ciders and other adult friendly beverages to choose from you might just find enough to keep you entertained for the entire festival.
If you’re looking for a brew or other adult oriented beverage and the Strawberry Festival has come and passed you can always check out the Island’s many breweries and Wineries from the more popular Vashon Winery and Palouse Winery. Most any weekend in the Spring and Summer the Island wineries are open to the public for tastings, and throughout the Fall and Winter you can enjoy the ciders at their peak as Ciderfest comes to an open.
Vashon is also home to many local hangouts from the newest addition Vashon Brewing Community Pub located just to the right in the Vashon Village as you enter town, and the popular Red Bike and Sporty’s bars.
