From the popular Vashon Brewing Company with a number of select brews to choose from to the unique and locally sourced cider breweries that are sure to bring satisfaction to even the most pickiest of pallets.
Dragon’s Head Cider is a popular brewery on Vashon with their array of light dry ciders produced from the very apples they grow on the far itself. Every year they harvest their apples, brew and cultivate in a cyclical dance that makes this brewery unique and their ciders reflect the love and care that goes into the entire process.
It all started when Cliff Goodman left his CFO job for the life of a brewmaster on his beloved Vashon Island in 2011. With around 10 unique brews to choose from Vashon Brewery offers an array to please any palette. From the Burton Blonde with it’s light and refreshing taste expressing a nice harmony of floral and citrus flavor and aroma to the Elderberry Imperial Stout combining Coffee and chocolate combining the best of dark roasted malts with the rich fruit character of elderberries.
Nashi is known for their Perry and Cider expressing the best qualities of the Asian and European pears and heirloom apples that are grown and sourced on Vashon. Their brews preserve some of the natural sweetness with no added sugar or flavorings. Open for tours and tasting every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5pm stop in for a visit.
