The Strawberry Festival is almost here, and Vashon is buzzing. This year’s event promises three days of food, music, small business charm, and community magic. From mango drinks to wedding dresses, this list gives you a head start on what to see, taste, hear, and experience.
Lyads Suryan Grill
They’ll be set up right across from the Farmers Market with delicious dishes, refreshing mango drinks, and everyone’s favorite, baklava. A perfect stop between music sets or as your first taste of the day.
Washington State Ferries & King County Metro Transit
The ferries will be packed with festival-goers, so walk-ons are recommended from Fauntleroy, Southworth, or Point Defiance. King County Metro’s 118 and 119 buses serve the island, and the Water Taxi is running all weekend. Skip the parking stress and ride over in style.

Kimberly Baker Studio
This brand-new jewelry studio opened its doors on July 10 and is ready to welcome Festival visitors. Located at 9920 SW Bank Road, Kimberly’s space is open throughout the weekend. If you love permanent jewelry, make time for this stop.

Vashon Youth and Family Services – TeenJam
Start the Festival with a burst of young talent. TeenJam features performances by rising Vashon musicians. Grab some strawberry shortcake from the Rotary Club booth while you’re there and support youth creativity.
Twisted & Beautiful Permanent Jewelry
Anne Kelso is bringing her permanent jewelry studio to the Festival. Find her booth and check out her gorgeous, custom-fit pieces.
Swedish Finish
Playing live Sunday at 2 PM behind Mind Set Apothecary (17917 Vashon Highway SW). If you’re looking for afternoon music with island flair, this is it.
Vashon Health Care District
Along with DispatchHealth, Vashon Island Fire & Rescue, and Mobile Integrated Health, the District will be located across from Subway all weekend. Stop by to meet the teams and ask questions about health services on the island.

For the first time ever, the local website that’s been serving Vashon since 2014 will have a booth at the Festival. Visit to meet founder Jennifer Lyn Mathews, Monthly Rundown writer Anna Venishnick Shomsky, and directory manager Heather Love.

Russ Baum at Vashon Times Dispensary
Live music Sunday from 2:00 to 4:20 PM, featuring folk-Americana-ska artist Russ Baum with support from Megan Baum. This is a 21+ show with no consumption allowed, just pure island vibes and soulful tunes.
Drama Dock Theatre and Vashon Repertory Theatre
Saturday after the parade, stop by the booth to meet the Ice Queen from a certain favorite animated movie. Theater teams will be on hand to talk about upcoming programming and engage young festival-goers.
Vashon Library
Offering a cool space to relax with AC, bathrooms, water, and outlets. Look for their booth with coloring pages, bubbles, and more fun. On Saturday, the Seattle LEGO Users Group hosts free play from 12 to 5.

Wine Shop Vashon
The pre-Festival celebration starts early with Alessandra Rose performing Wednesday night from 6 to 7:30. Swing by for wine, beer, NA beverages, and local eats in a cozy, cool atmosphere.
Vashon Presbyterian Church – Wedding Dress Display
They’re creating a beautiful showcase of wedding dresses across the decades inside the VPC Sanctuary on Saturday from 12 to 4 PM. Bring your dress and photo by 9:30 AM Saturday if you want to be included. Volunteers welcome.
Festival Car Show
The beloved Car Show rolls into town on Sunday. Bring your classic, quirky, or beloved ride and share the shine. Registration is $15 early or $25 the day of. Stop by Island Insurance or sign up online.
Festival Train Fundraiser
The iconic Festival Train needs your help to stay on track. The Chamber is raising $6,100 to bring the train back this year, with extra donations helping fund next year’s expanded Kids Zone. This ride is free for every child and full of joy for everyone watching.
