King County Sheriff’s deputies are combing Vashon Island for a man who rammed a patrol car Saturday evening and then managed to evade deputies who opened fire.
Officials have released very limited information on the incident, only to say the man was suspected of making threats and ramming the patrol car, and that the deputy fired several rounds but the suspect got away.
Sheriff spokesperson DB Gates Tweeted that officials were asking Vashon residents to call 911 if they see a red 1976 Ford pickup truck with no tailgate and no rear license plate with possible rear-end damage.
A helicopter from King County Guardian One is also involved in the search.
