Mary has dedicated nearly 20 years to supporting students of all ages.

She spent a number of years working as a professionally certified Educational Therapist and now specializes in structured literacy as a Dyslexia Specialist.

Mary has spent nearly 20 years supporting students, beginning her career working with youth in residential treatment and the juvenile justice system. She received her initial structured literacy training through the National Institute for Learning Development and went on to work as a professionally certified Educational Therapist. Now a CERI-certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist, Mary focuses on structured literacy intervention. In 2024, she published The Morphology Kit, a comprehensive set of lessons and activities centered on high-utility Latin-based morphemes in English. She also moderates the Facebook group The Morphology Teacher’s Hub.
