MAY KITCHEN + BAR
May Kitchen + Bar is a national and locally acclaimed Thai restaurant known for its tableside presentations, straight-from Thailand decorative interior, and sophisticated service. Most recently the restaurant was listed in Seattle Eater as one of the cities 38 Standout Dining Destinations. In years past it has been listed in Travel + Leisure’s Best Thai Restaurants in the U.S. and was a part of OpenTable’s top 100 restaurants in the nation. The restaurant is owned and operated by May Chaleoy and Tom Schwaegler. Be sure to try their Phad Thai, Yum Phak Boong, and cocktail collections.
THE RUBY BRINK
The Ruby Brink is a bar, butcher shop, restaurant, and minor grocer. It is owned and ran by pop-up veterans Lauren Garaventa and Rustle Biehn as well as the experienced craft mixologist Jake Heil. Known for their Meat & Noodle soup offering as well as a menu that changes daily, they also provide shoppers with an affordable way to shop from Vashon Island farms. They opened in 2019, at which point a feature article in Seattle Eater was written.
BRAMBLE HOUSE
Bramble House’s owner and head chef Lia Lira is known in the culinary industry for having an incredibly impressive resume which includes time working in, directing and opening Michelin-star restaurants. Fans of Top Chef may also remember her from her time on the show in season three.
The restaurant is housed in a 1943 island home located on the main highway. It has a rotating, seasonal menu and offers free lunches for anyone in need.
