I would like to purchase 2 $100 gift cards from the Luna cafe on Vashon, for gifts for my parents who live on Vashon and love your cafe. I would really like to have them mailed to me in Indianapolis IN before Memorial day, If at all possible. I am more than happy to pay a little extra for your time and postage. IO have done this before and it worked out spectacularly, and they loved it and are at your cafe a lot.
I am growing more deeply concerned as our ferries are now being canceled and leaving passengers on both sides stranded. For example, yesterday the 105 PM, the last ferry, was canceled. My husband was arriving back from the airport. He got to the ferry terminal and was told the boat was not running. My daughter had checked, physically, and in person at the terminal 6 PM that evening and they said the boat was running. So what happens then? Is he first supposed to then go find a hotel to stay at? Sleep in the ferry terminal if he cannot afford that?
What happens if it was the reverse was true? And someone needed to go to the hospital? These are very real issues and it’s becoming dangerous. And we need to make the ferry service aware of this. I’m sure they are, but we need to keep reinforcing this issue. Someone is going to get hurt, or some crisis will eventually happen, it’s an evitable. Wouldn’t it be great to deal with this issue before then?

Read Berkeley Breathed’s book “Red Ranger Came Calling”.
The bike is an important part of the story.
(He is the author of the comic series “Bloom County” and lived on Vashon Island.
Yes, the location isn’t fenced or gated off in anyway. This is unfortunately one of the reasons it’s not in the condition of was when I was a kid. It’s just a short walk into the woods from a parking lot that used to have a cafe, very close to the high school.
Is this in a location open to the public?
Just saw the bike in the tree today. Was great too see it in person
Another story is that the rider is still sitting on the bike having died there. OoooooooooOO
