Hone your fluidity, expression, and grace in Advanced Lyrical! Lyrical dance is most often defined as a combination of ballet and jazz techniques, with emphasis on graceful, fluid motions that often mirror the lyrics or theme of the music. Class will start with a center warm up including both standing exercises and workshops for jumps, turns, and falls to be used in phrase-work. We will use the second half of class for traveling progressions and longer phrases/group dances. This class is for advanced-level dancers. Students will spend a portion of class preparing for our Original Works production March 14-15 and our Spring Concert June 6-8, and regular attendance March-May is required in order to perform.
*Performance fee for Spring Concert included in tuition. New students wishing to participate in Original Works will be charged an additional $80 performance fee.
