Activities
There are many fun activities on Vashon, including overnight and day camps. The popular Camp Sealth has been home to several generations of campers during our beautiful summers.
Enjoy a day of golf at the Country Club while the kids go for a swim and savor a meal at the restaurant.
Vashon is also home to the popular Open Space and the newly built Vashon Center for the Arts, which hosts many events, including concerts, plays, workshops, and more.
Lodging/Accommodations
If you’re looking to stay a few nights on the island, there are plenty of options to choose from. Whether you’re looking for a quick and easy spot close to town, a cozy cottage, or a place on the beach for the famil,y Vashon has plenty of options to choose from.

Shopping
Vashon’s Downtown (or “uptown” as the Islanders call it) offers many great shops to enjoy. Our Pharmacy is a great gift shop with local Vashon Island souvenirs. The Raven’s Nest, Northwest Sports, Vashon Intuitive Arts, and Giraffe all offer a great selection of clothing and wonderments from local artists and worldwide. We have a few consignment and thrift shops to choose from, including the popular Grannie’s Attic. During the Spring, Fall, and Summer months, you can enjoy the local farmer’s market, including crafts from local artists. Just a walk through downtown and we’re sure you’ll find some great items to take home with you.
Local Farms
Vashon is a growing community of hobby farms and many established farms that feed our community. From picking up a dozen eggs every week from your neighbor, swapping veggies, or buying preserves at the market to ordering a full pig to be butchered and enter your freezer for the winter, there are plenty of farms from which to get your local food.
Health, Beauty, and Wellness
Residents have a bevy of health and wellness services on the Island to choose from. Whether it’s getting a checkup from your PCP at the local clinic or a much needed massage, you’ll find there are plenty of businesses on the Island to choose from.
Pet Friendly
Vashon Island is a community of animal lovers, and it definitely shows. We have our very own VIPP, which provides various volunteer services for our pets in need, local pet supplies at various locations, a few Veterinarians to choose from, and even Facebook groups specific to dogs, cats, horses, and other farm animals.
