Pt Robinson is on the south side of the island and is where the lighthouse is located.

Pt Robinson is a 10 acre park along Vashon Island’s shoreline. The lighthouse has been in full operation since 1978, but has provided service for boats from fog since 1885. The property where the lighthouse sits is part of the sandy shoreline, wrapping around the point. There is also a saltwater marsh and woodlands with walking trails. Picnic tables are available and the views of Tacomaand the East Passage are gorgeous. On a clear day, you will be able to see Mount Rainier in all of its magnificence amd glory through the upper slopes. The wooded areas in the park add even more beauty for another reason to visit Vashon Island.

The park stewards have refurbished both Keepers’ Quarters to be used as rentals. Any proceeds made from these rentals goes back to the park for restoration and maintenance. These two residences share the beach with the outbuildings and the lighthouse. They are available year round.

One residence, Quarters B, is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, and will sleep 6 people. The furnishings are that of a home from 1919 to capture its rustic history. Enjoy a hot bath in the claw foot tub. It’s part of a duplex and is next door to the caretaker’s home. The front porch is shared by different entrances.

The lighthouse is a well-known marker on Vashon Island. Not only do families come to stay to be a part of this special place, but couples also come to get married here. Pt Robinson is a beautiful park to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Admire the scenic beauty of the Puget Sound. You may just catch a glimpse of a whale, an eagle, or other wildlife.
